DDAC-5 - cleaner and disinfectant concentrate that eliminates algae, mould, lichen, and moss, delivering long-lasting protection for hard surfaces indoors and outdoors.
DDAC-5 Concentrated Hard Surface Cleaner & Biocide
Summary: A high‑performance concentrated biocide and surface cleaner that eliminates algae, mould, fungi, bacteria, and spores — ideal for both exterior hard surfaces and internal sanitary environments — providing extended residual protection.
Expanded Features & Additional Applications
• Sanitary rooms / washrooms / toilets / bathrooms — effective for disinfection of tiles, grout lines, washbasins, partitions, walls, floors
• Institutional & commercial facilities — hospitals, clinics, schools, gyms, food processing plants, offices
• Kitchens and food contact back‑of-house areas (non‑food contact surfaces)
• Locker rooms, changing rooms, showers, locker benches
• Waste chutes, bins, refuse areas
• Public restrooms, communal wash areas, changing cubicles
How It Works (Enhanced)
DDAC‑5 functions as a cationic surfactant and biocide: the positively charged molecule binds to negatively charged microbial cell membranes, disrupting membrane integrity, causing leakage of cell content and microbial death. In addition to killing visible growths (mould, algae, lichen), it inhibits renewal by acting on spores and dormant microbial forms. The residual effect can persist on surfaces, imparting ongoing protection, especially in sheltered or lower‑exposure zones. Because it is non‑caustic and free of bleach, it is safer for many surfaces and does not degrade materials like grouting or painted surfaces when used properly.
Directions for Use
Dilution & Coverage:
• General (outdoor / broad use): 1 part DDAC‑5 : 9 parts water (1:9)
• Heavy duty / stubborn growths: 1 part DDAC‑5 : 4 parts water (1:4)
• Sanitary / institutional cleaning (for disinfection): stronger dilutions may be applied where allowed by regulations — always ensure compatibility and safety.
• Each concentrate volume yields a large quantity of working solution.
• Coverage: 3–5 m² per litre of diluted mix (RTU); smooth, nonporous surfaces may allow higher coverage.
Application Method:
• Dilute thoroughly, apply uniformly (spray, brush, mop, or low‑pressure spray).
• Ensure full saturation of surface; allow dwell time for biocidal action.
• Do not rinse immediately (unless required) — allow time for residual activity.
• After the treatment period, dead residues may be wiped or brushed off.
Indoor / Sanitary Use Instructions
For bathrooms, toilets, washrooms, shower areas, basins, walls, floors, tiles, partitions:
1. Pre‑clean visible soil or grime first.
2. Apply diluted DDAC‑5 onto surface (brush, mop, spray).
3. Let dwell (10–30 minutes or per manufacturer guidance).
4. Rinse or wipe depending on surface and regulation.
5. Reapply maintenance dose periodically.
Note: Some residual staining of mould footprints may remain, but microbial regrowth is inhibited.
Outdoor / Exterior Use
• Apply in dry weather, no rain expected for at least 6 hours.
• Use watering‑can, low pressure sprayer, or brush.
• Darkening/discoloration begins 2–3 days after treatment.
• Brush away dead growths after treatment.
• Repeat after 6 months for upkeep.
• Avoid use on lawns, ponds, flowerbeds, or in aquatic environments (harmful to aquatic life).
• Prevent runoff to drains and water bodies.
Safety & Environmental Notes
• Always don protective gloves, eyewear, and follow safety data guidelines.
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or inhaling spray mist.
• Isolate treatment zones until surfaces fully dry.
• Cover or shield water storage, aquatic features, sensitive plants.
• Use responsibly: overuse of biocides can contribute to antimicrobial resistance risks if used improperly.
• Check local regulations and product licensing for disinfectant use in sanitary and food‑related contexts.
Example Use: Sanitary Restroom
For a public restroom with approx. 50 m² of floor + walls + partitions:
- Dilution 1:9 (RTU)
- Coverage ~4 m² per litre
- Requires ~12.5 L of RTU solution
- That equals ~1.25 L of concentrate DDAC‑5 (plus 11.25 L water)
- Apply on all surfaces and allow sufficient dwell time before rinsing or wiping.
Important Caveats & Disclaimer
The actual disinfection efficacy for bacteria, viruses, or spores depends on concentration, contact time, temperature, surface condition, and regulatory standards. Always validate performance under specific conditions and ensure compliance with local health / sanitary guidelines. This description is for informational enhancement; actual labeling, safety data sheet (SDS), and regulatory compliance must be followed.
